If I had to choose just one resource to plan my trips, it would undoubtedly be Tripadvisor. Tripadvisor is great for finding properties to stay in, including in depth traveller reviews about hotels, restaurants and more.

Expedia: a great platform to explore and book hotels, flights and cruises.
Rental Cars
DiscoverCars: compare rental cars by price to find the best, most reliable and cheap option for you. rent from the biggest brands in car rental e.g. hertz, enterprise, avis, sixt (and more) across over 145 countries.
Rentalcars.com: rent cars from the biggest brands in car rental e.g. hertz, sixt and europcar in over 60,000 locations. they are owned by the same people as booking.com!
Tours/Things to Do
